This epoxy resin is colored in black for gelcoat (applied thickness 0.5-1 mm) in the construction of the mold with high strength and good polishing properties.
In combination with EPH 161-P hardener a post-curing (with laminate support) for approx. It takes 15 hours at 60 ° C.
It can be used as a top layer in combination with epoxy resin laminates and laminating ceramics. Unlike resin and metal systems, the surfaces are polished. The gelcoat is hard-elastic, i.e. not brittle, has good edge resistance, but is not resistant to styrene, which makes it unsuitable in conjunction with UP Pre-Gel.

A subsequent post-curing at elevated temperatures will improve the mechanical and chemical properties and will be highly recommended (> 60 ° C for 15 hours). We recommend a heating rate of <10 K / h, to avoid deformation and a print of the interlacing pattern.
Maximum heat distortion temperature after post-curing (15 hours at 100 ° C): approx. 120 ° C
